Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup peas boiled
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger grated
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
- ½ Garam Masala teaspoon
- ½ Red Chili Powder teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
- Salt to taste
- Oil For frying
Instructions
How to make Aloo Tikki.
- Take a pressure cooker and Boil potatoes to 4 whistles then Mash potatoes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes with boiled green peas, finely chopped green chillies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt. This medley of spices will infuse the tikkis with an irresistible flavour.
- Shape the Tikki Patties:
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round, flat patties. The uniformity in size ensures even cooking.
- Now Coat with Bread Crumbs
- Roll each patty in breadcrumbs, creating a crispy exterior when fried. This step is crucial for achieving the perfect texture.
