- 1 x Kneading Bowl
- 1 x Rolling Board
- 1 x Roller
- 1 x Iron Pan
- Spoon
Ingredients
- 8 cups all-purpose flour Maida
- 2 tbsp of dry yeast
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 cups plain yoghurt
- 2 cups warm water
- 8 tbsp butter melted.
- 2 tbsp minced Fresh coriander/cilantro.
Instructions
How to make butter Naan
- Take a kneading bowl and add flour, yeast, salt, baking soda, and baking powder and knead it slowly.
- Now add water, and yoghurt in a kneading bowl and mix it well until it turns shaggy dough and knead it for 5 minutes.
- It may look sticky at first but do not add extra dough.
- Now take a fresh plate, sprinkle some flour, and knead dough to make perfect round-shaped dough.
- Now cover it and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Now take a rolling board and roller cut the dough into perfect round small balls and roll the dough in a round oval shape.
- Preheat a cast iron (tawa) pan for 5 minutes on medium-high heat. You’ll know it’s hot enough when you sprinkle it with water and it beads and evaporates immediately.
- Now put one naan on the pan and let it cook for 1 minute.
- Now turn the pan around facing towards the burner to let it cook from both sides.
- Cooking naan like this will add extra flavours to your naan.
- Now take a plate and transfer the cooked naan into the plate.
- Add some dhania or cilantro to the melted butter.
- Now brush the butter over the naan and serve it hot.
