  • 1 x spatula

  • 1 x Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gms Paneer
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 5 to 6 Cashew Nuts
  • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds roasted
  • 1-2 Cloves or laung
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • A small piece of Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Green Cardamoms
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/3 cup of Curd
  • 1/3 cup of hot Water
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar optional
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 pinch of saffron dissolved in 1 tsp water
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-2 tsps Kasuri Methi

Instructions
 

How to make shahi paneer

  • Take a grinder and Grind cashew nuts with roasted coriander seeds into smooth powder and keep aside until required.
  • Now grind onions separately.
  • Now take a deep wok and add 2 tbsp of oil and heat it.
  • Now add cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon and green cardamom and stir fry.
  • Now add grinded onion in it and stir fry it until it turns light brown.
  • Now add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and cashew powder prepared in first step and stir fry all the ingredients.
  • Now add grinded tomato puree and salt according to taste.
  • Now add curd and 2 cups of hot water mix all the ingredients well and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • Switch off the gas and discard cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon and green cardamom.
  • Transfer the mixture to the blender and make a smooth puree.
  • Now transfer back it into the wok and turn on the flame.
  • Now add fresh cream, saffron water and 1 tsp of garam masala.
  • Mix well and cook for 2 minutes and add cubed-shaped paneer into the gravy.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 minutes and turn off the flame.
  • Garnish it with kasoori methi.
